Practice Area 01

Capital Introduction

Connecting founders and fund managers with aligned institutional, family office, and sovereign capital across our global network.

Scope of Work

What the practice covers.

  • We maintain a continuously refreshed map of institutional allocators, single- and multi-family offices and sovereign wealth vehicles — segmented by sector appetite, ticket size, geography and investment horizon. Each mandate begins by identifying the narrow set of investors for whom the opportunity is genuinely relevant, rather than the widest possible audience.

  • We do not circulate teasers or run broad processes. Every introduction is made personally, to a counterparty we know, with both sides briefed before the first conversation takes place. Quality of audience — not quantity of meetings — determines the outcome of a raise.

  • For emerging managers, we advise on positioning, track-record presentation and terms before sequencing a path to a first institutional close. For established managers, we extend reach into family office and sovereign channels that sit outside conventional placement networks.

  • Our involvement does not end when commitments are signed. We counsel clients on investor communications, reporting cadence and relationship cultivation — so that a first close becomes the foundation for subsequent rounds and vehicles.

Our Process

Four stages, led personally.

I

Mandate Definition

We begin with a rigorous assessment of the opportunity — strategy, track record, terms and timing — to establish whether and how we can add genuine value before any introduction is made.

II

Investor Mapping

A curated shortlist is drawn from our network of institutions, family offices and sovereign allocators, matched on sector appetite, ticket size, geography and alignment of horizon.

III

Curated Introductions

Introductions are made personally, one relationship at a time. We prepare both sides, manage momentum through diligence, and remain in the room where it is helpful.

IV

Through Close & Beyond

Our involvement does not end at signing. We support investor relations through close and advise on cultivating the relationship for subsequent rounds and vehicles.

Example Engagements

Work conducted in confidence.

Engagements are described in general terms only. Client identities and transaction specifics remain confidential.

Growth-equity raise — technology platform

Acted for a growth-stage software business seeking institutional capital for international expansion. Mapped and approached a select group of allocators, resulting in a led round with two participating family offices.

Emerging manager fund placement

Supported a first-time fund manager through positioning, materials refinement and a sequenced introduction programme, culminating in a successful first institutional close anchored by a sovereign-affiliated investor.
